SM Cares programs on PWD and Children, in partnership with UNICEF, Tanghalang Pilipino, and the Camera Club of the Philippines, celebrates the National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation (NDPR) Week which started July 18, 2016.  The objective is to raise awareness and help create an inclusive environment for Children with Disabilities (CWDs) by highlighting their abilities instead of their disabilities. This will be dramatized via informative and educational activities for mall-goers through Tanghalang Pilipino’s stage play entitled “Sandosenang Sapatos,”, and the Camera Club of the Philippines’ photo exhibit entitled “See What I Can Do” that depict the everyday lives of Children with Disabilities.

Kudos to SM for having social responsibility, they care 🙂 So that’s where the proceeds of their bottled water goes, I’ll support them by buying from those establishments.

This is such a great campaign by SM. I hope they’ll have the play here in Cebu too. Being able to help hundreds of thousands is a huge thing. Bravo! We’ll try to visit during the exhibit.

I just admire companies putting money and effort for their corporate social responsibility initiatives. Surely anything SM gives will be given back to them 10 times more.

This is a great initiative! I just watched a football program for kids who has to use walking support and the effect is pretty awesome.

I love this: highlighting their abilities instead of their disabilities. I really believe that everyone, with or without disability has something (talent/gift) to offer or share. We just have to look closer and see what they can do rather than on what they cannot. Thank you for sharing.

I’m happy they have this kind of advocacy or campaign not just to help disabled people but to let them know we are here to support them. Knowing that people appreciate for what you are is a big deal.
