4 Best Kid-Friendly Beaches in the Philippines

Taking kids to the beach is not just fun for them. It is actually healthy for their physical and emotional health. Bringing your kids to the beach releases their endorphins. It allows them to play outside and get some fresh air. The sea also has calming effects on children, allowing them to relax during their school break.

Allowing your kids to visit the beach also helps them get the right amount of Vitamin D they need, good for their bones, blood pressure, and immune system. Lastly, allowing your kids to play and swim on the beach helps improve their sensory play and understanding of how the world and the things in it work.

If you plan to hit the beach with your kids, be it summer or whatever time of the year, safety is still your priority. If you are a parent, this list of kid-friendly beaches in the Philippines will be handy, especially when planning a beach trip with the kids.

Alona Beach, Bohol

Alona Beach in Panglao Island, Bohol, is one of the Philippines’ most famous white sand beaches. This beach is ideal for swimming, snorkeling, and beach hopping—perfect activities to do with your kids. Since the waters are calm and gradually get deeper, you can safely teach your kids how to swim here. In addition, this beach is close to a community, so you can even find several foreclosed beachfront properties in the Philippines that you can turn into your dream summer home.

Inasakan Beach, Occidental Mindoro

Inasakan Beach in Ilin Island, San Jose, Occidental Mindoro will rival the white, powdery sand and azure waters of Coron. This modest island is a paradise and a go-to destination if you want your kids to be closer to nature and appreciate its beauty. The waters here are often warm and shallow, and the waves are often minimal, making it a safe place for kids to swim. The evenings are special at Inasakan Beach. Once the electricity goes off around midnight, the view of the stars is a sight to behold, so make sure to bring your binoculars or even telescope with you when you visit this beach to get a better view of the sky and shooting stars.
