On September 1 to 6, prepare to step into a world of wonder with Disney Live! Mickey’s Music Festival featuring Mickey and his pals along with Disney characters from Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, and Disney/Pixar’s Toy Story.

The 90-minute production features an irresistible lineup of more than 25 Disney stars, including Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy; Ariel, Sebastian and Ursula; Jasmine, Aladdin and Genie; and Woody, Buzz and Jessie; singing and dancing to popular Disney hits remixed to rock, pop, reggae, hip-hop, country and more.

It’s going to be a frolicsome Disney jam session fit for the entire family, but what is sure to pique the interest of viewers is the venue where this spectacular show will be staged.

Kia Theater Opens

Remember the New Frontier Theater back in the 1960’s? Disney Live! Mickey’s Music Festival will be the first show this year to herald its modern-day reopening.

The soon-to-open theater, which is part of Araneta Center’s “extreme” transformation, will be renamed “Kia Theater” after a 5-year naming rights deal with Colombian Autocar Corporation (CAC), the assembler and exclusive distributor of Kia Motors vehicles in the Philippines.

As part of the deal, CAC will put Kia Motors’ moniker and logo and will be setting up a 304.96 square-meter Kia showroom inside the venue, among other inclusions.

The ultra-modern theater has a 2, 385 seating capacity, equipped with the latest in audio, visual and lighting technologies, which promises to elevate viewing experience to new levels.

It will also feature al-fresco dining restaurants, coffee shops and other retail brands along its perimeter and is poised to reclaim its title as the premier performing arts venue.

Merging classic with contemporary design, Kia Theater greets patrons with an elegant drop-off point that opens up to an expansive grand lobby fit for upscale events. A posh staircase conveys everyone to the picturesque Theater Lounge on the mezzanine floor, which can also be a perfect venue for meet and greet sessions with the stars before and after the show.

Disney On Ice skates back this Christmas with “Frozen”

Another reason to celebrate this upcoming Christmas season is the traditional staging of Disney on Ice at the Smart Araneta Coliseum from December 25 to January 3.

If you’ve seen Disney’s movie “Frozen” and sang along with its songs, but still are not ready to “let it go”, watch Disney On Ice Magical Ice Festival featuring your favorite Academy Award-winning and highest grossing animated film of all time.

Magical Ice Festival will follow the story of Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff, Sven, and the trolls across familiar landscapes from the animated movie.

It’s going to be an enchanting mix of royalty, also highlighting the stories of Disney characters from Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, and Tangled, with show-stopping segments and lively on-ice choreography.
