Mekeni Breakfestival Promotes Quality Time With The Family

Posted on by

Spending quality time with the family need not be done only after office or business hours or during weekends. “Quality” means special and when it comes to time, we don’t want to give our families the “left-overs” of our attention. Studies say that in countries were divorce is high, one of the main reasons why families crumble is due to lack of time to communicate. During weekdays most specially, all of us are being caught up with the tasks that we need do, right from the minute we opened our eyes. Minsan, we even forget to pray after we wake up. That’s how busy most of us are.

But breakfast time can be the easiest time of the day when everyone can catch up with each other. After everyone have showered and get dressed up for work or for school, a breakfast feast in front of the table will encourage all the members of the family to settle down and fill in their tummies. Mekeni longganisa, and bacon are just the perfect food to prepare. Because Mekeni’s food products are of the highest standards, the family will enjoy fresh and quality kind of food they won’t get in fast food restaurants. “Iba ang lutong bahay” as we always say.

FB FINAL2Some of us may need to do some adjustments to be able to spend time to enjoy breakfast. We are always in a hurry that a bite or two will be enough. But researches have shown that hasty eating may not have good effects to our bodies aside from the fact that we aren’t even able to relish the taste of the food which comes in our mouth.

PHOTO 1PHOTO 2PHOTO 3That’s why Mekeni, through its Breakfestival campaign, promotes the importance of breakfast and enjoying the company of the family members while we eat. When we put priority on the time we spend with each other while sustaining our bodies for the jobs we need to do for the rest of the day, that’s what we call multitasking working at its best. Breakfast will also be the perfect time to know things which really matter, like how our kids did at school the day before, or maybe if the husband wishes to spend time with mommy at the end of the day, or when the older kids need to talk to mom and dad. It’s so much easier to feel positive for the rest of the day when you have a full stomach and a full heart at the beginning of the day.

We are very thankful to Mekeni and its Breakfestival campaign for nurturing families with foods that are delicious, energy-giving and promoting the importance of spending quality time with each other. Wherever we may go, food and family should always come first.

Follow Mekeni in Facebook to know more about Breakfestival and how families can enjoy their bonding time while enjoying their meals together.

I’ve never tried Mekeni although I love a good chorizo breakfast. There’s a Monterey meatshop near our house so we usually get meat there. I’ll try this brand, too, if I find it!

I haven’t tried other Mekeni products but I’ll make sure to put some in our basket when we do our grocery.

It is hard for us to eat together in the morning. Perhaps becAuse we have different time to go to work and school. But we always make it up for weekends. Husband requires the boys to wake up at the same time and together enjoy breakfast. Yes, we also love Mekeni products.

Those spread of easy to cook breakfast foods are perfect indeed! Love it with garlic rice and sharing it with the family altogether in a table is awesome!

Eating with the family helps build the family relationship. That’s a time kasi to tell stories, joke around, and be present.

I haven’t tried Mekeni products yet or I might have but just didn’t know it. I should grab one the next time I go to the grocery. I love that they are promoting Breakfestival and closer ties within the family.
