Why is breakfast called breakfast? Because it is supposed to break our overnight fast. If you sleep in the regular hours, you’ll be having your breakfast after 6-8 hours of sleep, which is the exact time our bodies already need sustenance. And that is why breakfast is “the most important meal of the day”.

For us moms, preparing breakfast has been passed on to us like a baton for generations. And because we know that it is indeed an important task, we take this role seriously. However, most of us wear different hats at home or we don’t have helpers and so we find ourselves just cooking whatever we can cook the fastest (toss anything you see in the pan) or find the can opener and look for whatever we can heat in the microwave. So not healthy, right?

The event was hosted by Alex Gonzaga and her energy rubbed off on all of the guests as she performed her original song “Tipints”. Luis Manzano had a guest appearance and their Q and A in the Delicious Mornings Brefast Show broacasted live in Facebook was funny and yet informative for the audiences to know the importance of having breakfast and how easy it is to make it healthy with Quaker Oats.     I love Quaker Oats because it is a great start to the day. Fresh fruit is the way I like it although those packets with inclusions like tropical fruit are very appealing.
