This Christmas was the perfect opportunity to re-visit CRIBS Foundation, a safe and loving home for abandoned babies and girls who were victims of violence and abuse. Mommy Bloggers Philippines and a group of mommy blogger members first visited the foundation a few months ago to bring gifts and Pampers diapers for the babies. For the moms, it was an emotional moment to be able to see the babies and play with them for a couple of hours. Volunteering to play the little angels, hug and read to them, were so worthy of the travel time.

As mothers, we all felt how the children really need not only material donations but also time and love. After our activity inside the building, we all had one observation and that was how clingy and affectionate the babies were, proving that they long for people who will spend time with them. But of course, material provisions are needed such as the quality diapers we brought there. Pampers #LessLawlaw Diapers will provide comfort for the babies for a longer period of time.
Ms. Mel, one of the soft-spoken and accommodating staff of CRIBS briefed us about CRIBS, how the foundation started and how the volunteering activity that day goes.

About CRIBS Foundation
CRIBS Foundation, Inc is a Non-Governmental Organization since 1979 and in the same year, it opened its first program called the Receiving Home where abandoned, surrendered and neglected infants lived in a rented house in Antipolo and were provided with basic services such as food, clothing, shelter and medical needs. In 1986, CRIBS launched New Beginnings, a program to rehabilitate sexually abused girls from communities in and around the National Capital Region. To date, the Receiving Home has come to the aid of 2,067 children while the New Beginnings Program has improved the lives of 730 victims of sexual abuse.
