The Christmas weather hasn’t arrived as we could still feel the hot and humid air around us even if it was almost the month of December. Inside one of the beautifully arranged rooms in Seda Residences, Makati City, blogger moms from Mommy Bloggers Philippines, media, mom influencers and VIP moms had cooler moments not mainly because of the super cold air conditioning but because of the excitement brought by MAKUKU.

It was the brand launch day of MAKUKU Diapers last November 29 and the event aimed to educate everyone about the unique features of MAKUKU diapers while sharing stress-free parenting tips by celebrity mom guests and informative session with a psychology professional.
One of the highlights of the event was MAKUKU’s presentation of a year’s supply of diapers to the mother of the world’s 8 billionth baby – Maria Margarette Villorente. Baby Vinice Mabansag of Delpan, Tondo, Manila is the symbolic 8th billionth baby from the Philippines.

The next segment was Rita Gaviola, a mom herself and was tagged as the beautiful “Badjao Girl”, who shared her experience using MAKUKU with her recent first-born baby.

The event became lovelier when celebrity songstress Princess Velasco serenaded the attendees with her beautiful voice. MAKUKU also gave diapers and MAKUKU stuffed toys and merchandise to lucky moms who won the games in between.

One of our favorite segments was when Clinical Psychologist Alodia Cueno-Mercado shared tips on how parents can establish a home with less-stress and a safe place for moms mentally and emotionally. She also taught the moms simple breathing techniques and the “butterfly hug” where moms can simply tap and hug themselves on times when they need a quick stress-reliever at home. The moms also learned what symptoms to look for when a mommy friend needs help and how to be able to help them.

Last but not the least was the segment when MAKUKU let the moms see how absorbent and durable MAKUKU diapers are through the water absorbency test. The test showed how more absorbent, drier and less weighing MAKUKU diapers are than other leading diaper brands.
