After the 1st Refill Station was opened in the SM Megamall store in 2022, the leading health, wellness, and beauty retailer Watsons has recently launched its second Refill Station for Naturals by Watsons at The Block SM City North Edsa store to encourage more consumers to do good by reusing their plastic bottles, thereby reducing the use of plastic.
The Refill Stations are part of A.S. Watson Group’s global commitment to encourage its customers to lead more sustainable lifestyles by offering more options for them to do so. With two Refill Stations, customers can now conveniently refill their clean empty Naturals by Watsons bottles with their favorite variants: Aloe Vera Shampoo, Coffee Shampoo, Argan Shampoo, Olive Shampoo, and Aloe Vera Body Wash. Empty bottles with screw caps are also available for purchase in the store, and customers can save up to 40 percent vs. regular bottles. Refill Station customers will also get a free sticker that they can customize. Only clean, dry, and empty Naturals by Watsons bottles can be refilled at the Refill Stations.
If you cannot visit the Refill Stations, Watsons also offers refill packs of its Naturals by Watsons products as well as hundreds of refill packs from Safeguard, Dove, Johnson’s, Colgate, Gillette, Babyflo, Sunsilk, Luxe Organix, Head & Shoulders, and many others. Refill packs are 40% cheaper than regular packs and they also produce 75% less plastic waste as compared to regular bottles. These refill packs are available in all Watsons stores and online via the Watsons App.
“We hope our customers contribute to a more sustainable world by reusing the containers and hence, reducing plastic waste,” said Viki Encarnacion, PR and Sustainability director at Watsons.
This is such a brilliant idea! Millions soon millions of plastic water bottles are thrown away every year and those bottles end up in landfills and oceans. And people don’t understand that they aren’t compostable! Thank you so much for sharing!
This is genius. I totally appreciate that Watsons encourages consumers to practice refilling. I’m all for refilling!
This is such a wonderful initiative. I wish more companies did this.
I have never heard of a refill station! Great idea!
This is an amazing step forward for Watsons and its Naturals by Watsons brand in terms of sustainability! Refill stations are a great way to reduce the use of plastic, which is ultimately an important part of protecting our planet. We should all be inspired by this brand’s commitment to reducing its environmental impact, and I encourage everyone to make a conscious effort to use refillable bottles whenever they can.
I love the idea of these stores, I wish I had one near me that I could visit.
This is a great initiative from Watsons. It does help and promote eco friendliness.
I love the idea of refilling shampoo and body wash bottles! It is such a great way to cut down on single-use plastics!
That is such a great idea. I heard that there were some beauty refilling places opening up near me but I’ve not found out where yet. it’s a great way to reuse bottles and minimise waste.
I love this idea. I worry about too much plastic too. I would buy big refills for my bathroom supplies.
This is a very good idea. What a great way to support the planet. Thanks for sharing with us.
This is a really wonderful idea of them! It is so nice of them to think this. I love it!
This is great. We’d love to help lessen our plastic waste and I agree with you that we should consider refilling. Not to mention it is cheaper. Happy to know that refills of our favorite brands are available in Watsons.
Wow….is there like a clap sign on your blog? I wanna clap for Watson! This is something I strongly encourage.
Refill stations are great! I love this!
We don’t have Watson’s here but yes the information you’ve provided will help many.
Also the refilling thing should be encouraged. Microplastics are also known to be found within bottled water. These small pieces of plastic break off from inside the bottle and remain within the water. Is single-use plastic really worth these risks? By refilling a reusable bottle at home you know exactly what is in that bottle, H2O.
Love the idea of refills. It certainly benefits the earth!
Interesting! That’s a neat idea to refill instead of throwing out the containers. How environmentally friendly and smart!!
Oh this is awesome! I wish this was more mainstream and we had it in my area. I hate plastic waste and this would be a great solution.
It would be nice to have a store like this near where I live.
This is AMAZING! I wish we had something like that near me! What a great idea!
We need more refill stations like this. It is completely senseless to throw away plastic bottles and get new ones. The bottles can and should be used again and again.
Kudos to Watsons. I really appreciate that they encourage consumers to practice refilling! Thank you for sharing this story!
I think refiling is a great practice. I hope there will be many such services.
This is a good thing to encourage the consumers. Refilling stations for their products not only saves us money but it also helps the environment.
Ah yes! I love what Watsons is doing here. Refilling will save all of us a lot of trouble.
I do like the sound of the different shampoo variants. 40% is a reasonable saving when you refill a plastic bottle.
I wish more places here allowed us to try this! It would be far more economical and could even be cheaper. You only buy what you need and nothing else.
This is a great initiative from Watsons! This will surely go a long way in helping reduce plastic waste and promote sustainability.
That’s a great recycling initiative. More companies should do this.
I love this nature-friendly concept. This is so unique.
That’s awesome that they opened a second one. This would help the environment be natural.
