For ten years, the Himig ng Kabataan: Alay Kay Don Bosco Choral Competition has been a stage for young Filipino choirs to shine. On August 30, 2025, the competition celebrated its milestone 10th year, coinciding with the parish’s 47th anniversary of dedication and its Jubilee Year with the theme Pilgrims of Hope.
A Night of Music and Celebration
This year’s competition brought together eight choirs from across the country, each showcasing extraordinary vocal talent and dedication. The finalists included Coro Jesu, Himig San Vicente, Koro ni San Jose, Koro ni San Miguel, Malabon Concert Singers, OMPHP Youth Ensemble VI, San Andres Chamber Singers, and The Vennekreds.
The Malabon Concert Singers emerged as Grand Champion, receiving PHP 100,000 along with the award for Best Song Rendition (Choice Piece). Coro Jesu secured first runner-up with PHP 50,000, while The Vennekreds placed second runner-up and received PHP 30,000. The San Andres Chamber Singers also took home the People’s Choice Award.
