Do you have a heart for children and passion for learning? We think this will be the coolest job ever to join the team of Kidzania Manila!
The first KidZania in the Philippines will soon open in Bonifacio Global City and KidZania Manila is looking for grown-ups with a heart for children and passion for learning to join its pioneering team.
KidZania Manila Talent Management Director Michelle Gorrospe shared that they are looking for professionals who believe in the KidZania vision. “Many of our recruits who enjoyed playing in their childhood want to pay back and help the children of today experience the joys of role-playing in a city made just for them,” she said.
Immersive, interactive role play rooted in real-life activities and establishments is at the core of the KidZania experience. With over 100 role playing activities, kids are empowered to explore and choose the roles that they want. At KidZania, they discover new interests and talents and they learn life skills that equip and inspire them to collaborate to create a better world.
“Love for children, a sense of fun, true believers in play and the invaluable role it serves in a child’s learning and development—these are the primary qualities we look for in recruiting and selecting members of KidZania Manila,” added Gorrospe.
KidZania Manila has a wide variety of open positions in need of extraordinary talent — from exceptional customer service professionals to dedicated staff in charge of the play city’s maintenance and safety regulations. Individuals who are into the performing arts and interested in facilitating role-playing activities may also join the KidZania Manila team as Zupervisors and Team Leaders.
In the Service of Filipino Kids
As KidZania Manila challenges kids to imagine and live out possibilities, individuals who would like to be part of the team should also match the energy level and enthusiasm of the kids. “It is very important for potential team members to love working for and with children,” said Gorrospe. “They have to role-play as well — see the child pretending to be a grown-up and recognize that play is a personal expression and actually ‘serious work’ for them.”
The Talent Management Director also stressed the important contribution of the KidZania Manila team in supporting the role-play experiences that will develop life skills and help shape the future of the child. “If a kid develops a passion for the activity, he or she may go on to pursue that role, and become a dedicated fire chief or a successful newscaster in the future,” she said. “It is very critical for the Zupervisors to enhance the role-play experience so that the child goes home feeling that he or she was actually a firefighter or a newscaster for the day.”
Play and learning are the core twin advocacies of KidZania Manila and the company said it aims to provide these to the kids who will visit the play city, as well as to the grown-ups that will help bring to life its goals. “We are committed to creating and providing opportunities for our people to continually develop,” said Gorrospe. “Part of our training strategy is to conduct monthly refresher courses as well as workshops on other equally important skills like customer service, leadership, and acting.”
Interested applicants with a university degree and relevant professional experience can join the KidZania Manila team and help provide Filipino children with an unforgettable role-playing experience. Is KidZania open already? How much are the ticket prices? Been waiting for this since 2013. Their website does not provide enough info.
Hi Janice, KidZania is still not open yet. We will have you updated about the launch soon!
This seems awesome, considering I heard a lot of events coming from this group. I would recommend this to my friends (whom were mommies, by the way)
I am a proud mom to my children and I want them to participate this kind of event since it’s good to them and it helps a lot to the children. It will allows them to enhance their talents.
