Del Monte Kitchenomics New Season – More Fun And Practical Kitchen Tips For Moms

Posted on by

Did you know that Del Monte Kitchenomics had been a trusted culinary partner of thousands of cooking moms in the Philippines for over 30 years now? I can proudly attest to that because I grew up watching Del Monte Kitchenomics flash episodes as segments of the noon time show Eat Bulaga.

Even when I was still a very young girl, I am already an avid fan of cooking shows. I truly enjoy watching all the paring, slicing and sauteeing they do on TV. Then I imagine how good those dishes must have tasted like. I think my kids had also inherited my penchant for cooking shows because it had always been part of our weekdays to watch different cooking programs while we have lunch or dinner.

20150701_125932 4 FB FINALLast July 1, along with the other members of Mommy Bloggers Philippines, I was able to attend the bloggers’ conference for the new season of Del Monte Kitchenomics. There we met the lovely actress Carla Abellana who will be hosting DMK for the second time around with her chef partner, the multi-awarded Chef Jackie Ang-Po.  I remember watching the young Chef Jackie on her previous cooking shows and it looks like she didn’t age a bit.

From this conference, I learned that one of the main difference of Del Monte Kitchenomics is that this show is actually backed up by a strong online community on www.delmonte.ph/kitchenomics and a Facebook Fan Page which has almost 2 million followers. That’s a huge following where the DMK team gets to hear from real persons from different age and lifestyle categories about food and recipes.

This season, Del Monte Kitchenomics levels up by bringing in more recipes which are not only easy to cook but are also perfect even for first-time cooks! More people will also be able to enjoy the show as they will be incorporating kitchen tips and tricks aside aside from teaching recipes tried and tested by kitchen experts.

final 3During the conference, we were also given the chance to watch the first episode which will be launched on July 12 on GMA 7. The episode will teach the viewers the “Japanese curry” recipe. It’s a very nice episode because it’s something that I’ve never heard of, some kind of a modern twist to the curry recipe most moms know. The program looks very colorful, informative and I can say very much entertaining, seeing the beautiful face of Carla Abellana smiling while she’s cooking.

I also watch DMK when I was a kid. I’m no cook but I love cooking shows, local and foreign. Some of my fave shows are Bida sa Kusina with Chef Boy Logro, Del Monte Kitchenomics, Hell’s Kitchen, Master chef and a lot of other shows in the food channel. 🙂

This is something to look forward to as my family is especially fond of watching cooking shows particularly the short ones.

Their recipes are always easy to follow. My mom used to collect those from the labels of their products like canned tomato paste, sauce, etc.
