Araneta City’s entertainment mecca, the Smart Araneta Coliseum, brings in to the country the multi-awarded performances of the China National Acrobatic Troupe in a Christmas Show titled “The All-new Grand China Acrobatic Circus.”
The Grand China Acrobatic Circus presents the daring, the splendid, the bold and the spectacular. It features mind-blowing tricks, death-defying acts, graceful choreography loaded with color and excitement deftly presented by internationally renowned and multi-awarded Chinese acrobats.
One never-to-missed act is the Rose Bud contortionist, a mythical fox in a trance of contortion and coquetry. Another jaw dropping act is the Peking Opera’s Huadan (heroines) in Diabolo, where performers in majestic suits intrinsically play the Chinese Yo-yo.
The China National Acrobatic Troupe has amazed audiences with feats of strength and daring acts performed cleverly, precisely and accurately, and the ability to retain balance in motion. Audiences will marvel at the world-class skills of the acrobats as they perform routines of compelling choreography practiced over centuries, making this a perfect show for families to enjoy.

- Gorgeous Girls with Diabolo (Chinese Yo-yo)
Starring Peking Opera’s Huadan (Heroine) in beautifully choreographed diabolo techniques and dances. Performers are dressed up in a splendid fashion that playfully teases the eyes of the audiences. This gracefully matches the intrinsic movements of the performers as they skip and catch diabolos.

- Plate Spin
In this act, performers sing and dance while balancing and spinning 10 plates in their hands. This also includes an actress balancing the spinning plates in a backward bending position while standing on another actor’s head.

A breathtaking show where a number of performers doing a series of exciting and fascinating acrobatics while all rides in one bicycle.
- Rose Bud (Contortionist)
An actor performs as a mythical fox in a series of dance, contortion, and coquetry.
- The Ninth Wave(Skills on Poles)
This act is inspired by the famous Russian painter Ivan Aivazovsky and his work depicting soldiers braving the angry ocean.
Performers do amazing stunts and jaw-dropping movements in a pole.

This act challenges gravity as performers tumble in a tower of hoops with a spectacular height of 3 meters.

- Lotus (Umbrella Juggling)
Can you juggle five balls in your hands? How about four umbrellas? Yes. In this act, an actor juggles a number of umbrella with his hands and feet.

Now, juggle a number of balls in your hands while going up and down the stairs or even do crazy stunts.

I loved going to the circus when I was a child and my favorite part was the acrobatics and seeing bodies tumble gracefully through the air.
The Chinese circus is one of the most magical things ever. The acrobatics are super unique. They make it look so easy!
