Our MILO Champion Journey at Home

Posted on by

The past eight months of this year have been so challenging to everyone.  Thankfully, as we continue to minimize our exposure outside and practice social distancing because of our situation, we’ve also won many battles at home, just like the challenge of doing physical activities or sports even if we are indoors. We’ve always thought that one can only play sports outside or in a field. Through participating in the MILO Home Court campaign, my daughter Mariel was able to play tennis which is one of her favorite sports, and she also learned a new sport, soccer, within our garage!

Our MILO Home Court journey started with Mariel playing tennis while she followed instructional videos on YouTube organized by the Children’s Tennis & Sports Management Association, which is under the MILO Sports Clinics Online (MSCO). She learned how to do dribble drills, as well as forehand and backhand self rallies. I am so happy for her as these activities were fun playtime for her and helped her improve her hand and eye coordination, skills that she is able to use to perform well in school, and her everyday tasks.

The last part of our MILO Champion journey was a soccer trial class for Mariel which is being offered in the MILOSportsInteractiveOnlineClasses (MSIOC), which are real-time sessions from experts that you can attend for a minimum participation fee of Php 1,000, inclusive of 4 to 12 classes depending on the sport and organizer. The sessions are being spearheaded by Grit Sports PH, and she attended one with Coach Sara Castañeda, a member of Philippine Women’s National Football Team, along with other young girls. Mariel had so much fun learning basic football moves like dribbling and kicking to serve the ball to other teammates. Because of this class, Mariel now has the confidence to pursue this sport in her school where she longed to play it with her friends.

I’d really like to commend MILO for bringing out the MILO Home Court campaign because many kids reaped the benefits of getting into sports even while they are at home.  Mariel has been more enthusiastic to wake up and get into her daily school tasks ever since she participated in the MILO campaign. It’s true that active kids are not only healthy, but they are also better learners. We still wish to continue her MILO Champion Journey by drinking MILO everyday and practicing the sports she learned, at home, during weekends.

I do encourage all parents out there to encourage their children to get into sports even while at home. You can still access the free YouTube videos of MSCO and sign up to MSIOC for your kids to learn a lot of different sports through these videos. Grab this opportunity to spark your child’s interest in athletic activities and you might be surprised that you have a future sports champion in the making.

Other than that, Mommy Bloggers Philippines recently conducted the MILO Home Court challenge and finally, we’re announcing one of the winners – Congratulations to Mommy Meldy Natividad for winning 1 case of MILO products (good for 1 year), 3 MILO basketballs, and 1 MILO jacket! Please DM me on Facebook or Instagram, or the Mommy Bloggers Philippines Facebook and Instagram pages to claim your PRIZES.

For the 4 other moms, Mommy Kaye, Jaimie, Michelle, and Berlin also announced so don’t forget to check their blogs, and Facebook or Instagram posts!

To all the other moms who joined the challenge, continue the champion journey for your child to stay active, healthy, and productive at home so they can reach their sporting dreams.
