Party photographers are very much in-demand these days more than ever before. Why? Because we all love to share our photos! Unlike on previous years when social sharing sites aren’t existing and the only way we see our relatives and friends photos is through emails or postcards, sharing photos these days can be done in a few clicks.

When it comes to parties, we usually opt for party photographers because of several possible reasons:

1. You are the party organizer and you don’t have time to take your photos
2. You don’t have highly-techie cameras to take your photos
3. You want to capture all the details of the party and it’s just impossible for you to do that

So from experience from attending several parties, gatherings and events, we have come up with some tips when choosing your party photographers (Christmas parties, birthday parties, debuts, dedications, christening, anniversaries, Halloween parties) :

a. Choose someone with experience – Experience is the best teacher when it comes to photography. No matter how advanced or expensive the cameras are, it will take experience to know the different aspects of photography. Each kind of party needs different kinds of photography techniques.

b. Choose photographers with empathy – To be able to capture photos creatively, photographers should always be able to feel empathy to their subjects. Through their photos, they are able to express the feelings of whoever are those in the pictures. You can gauge this quality on your photographers if they are willing to take directives or suggestions from you, even though they are the ones who hold the cameras.

c. Quality over quantity – Don’t be deceived by photo packages rather, check on the quality of photos which are being delivered. Ask for some shots which were taken during the events of previous clients. Notice how the photographers were able to capture clear photos given different settings (night time, daytime, outdoors and indoors). No matter what the setting is, it’s possible to get clear photos.

d. Maximize photo packages – Choose photography services which offer the best kind of deals. Aside from unlimited photos which can be taken on the occasion, some photographers can give you photo sessions before the event, free photo collages, albums, and discounts in the future.

e. Timeline – Know how your photography service provider how long it will take for you to get your photos or your albums. Check their previous clients’ feedback on their promptness. Some services promise fast delivery of photos but in the end fail on doing so because they just got so many clients. You wanted to see your photos as soon as possible and you don’t want your guests to forget the event already before you are able to share your photo copies.
